Featured Artist

Craig Miron's Pottery will be featured through Mar. 26th A free public reception will take place Friday, Mar. 5th from 3 to 7 p.m.
	Featured Artists Each month throughout the year, the Artists of River Town feature an artist at their gallery located at: 1435 Myers Street in historic downtown Oroville. Works by ten or so additional artists are also installed to complete each monthly show. Regular gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Artist's Statement Being from a long line of Bernard Leach, Shoji HAmada and Tatsumo Shimaoka disiples. I have studied folk art pottery and ceramics for almost half my life. These artists are my mentors and I have followed a path to enable me to study and produce pottery that I think acknowledges their influences in my work.
	My biggest joy comes from knowing that individuals enjoy my art enough to use it in their daily lives. This gives me stamina and allows me to continue being a folk art potter along with using and facilitating folk art methods and using natural materials and firing techniques throughout my work. I hope many can appreciate the long endeavors I have endured to produce pottery for public consumption.
